Now Settled In Darwin

Hey Everyone, So We made the move to Darwin... Yes a Big Change, BUT! life is one big adventure. :) With my husbands Job we get to Move around a bit and see Australia, On the downside we miss our Family so much and the special friends we make along the way.

I Hope for Good things this year, My Scrappy Mojo has Returned!!!, will share some pictures soon.

The past year I have been doing Quilting and have thoroughly enjoyed this, so now I have to incorporate my love for both hobbies and continue to devote time to both equally.

So the Big adjustment to Darwin is the Weather, I pray for RAIN most days!! and do lovely happy dances when this occurs. I have started meeting people and making a few friends along the way, biggest achievement was finding Scrap matrix. The Owner Vicki is lovely and we became friends straight away. And ive made more friends attending crafty days there, isnt the Scrappin Community just great? Be sure to checkout they have a lovely online store too.

My Pets are settling in now too, Middy Moo (the Cat) and Brutus (the Pug).... Love my Fur children so much. And its been amazing having a beautiful park to stroll around with brutus in the evenings, and the best bit its right across the rd.

So Will update New posts, on all things crafty on what ive been up too these days! :)

Our Park across the Rd

This is our New Pad for the next few years!!, we also drove from Melbourne, it was quite an adventure.

Much love Carly xxx

Scrappin fun

I Had Fun Making this layout, I cut out the large tree on my cricut, then decided it needed enhancing... Soo I added Gel Medium with a brush and painted it on giving the tree some texture. I then let it dry over nite!! and next day i brushed on some pearl x powders to give shine...  Added a few extra bits n bobs to the page and done!!

Happy Scrappin

Just for Fun....

My Dressform

Had a bit of fun With this Kaisercraft Dressform. I shaped its body and bust first with scrunched up tissue paper in small pieces and then glued with a pva. I then completely coated her in some black acrylic painted, then once dry i sanded her stand so the wood colour would show through. I decided to make her skirt out of ribbon, to do this i stitched all the strips onto interfacing to give it some body, then cut some slits in it. I was happy with the result!!  I then stained with Distress Vintage photo the heart base she sits on and her wings... And then embellished with Blooms....
This Project Was alotta Fun...
I have more Dressforms to embellish, Cant decide on my next theme... theres too many on my list...
